National Park. The North Yorkshire Moors Railway runs between the historic
market town of Pickering, Goathland (Aidensfield in the TV 'Heartbeat' series,
and 'Hogsmeade' in the Harry Potter films.

From The Sidings Cottage, one of the most splendid 12th century castles in northern
England is just 5 minutes walk away. This motte
and bailey castle was built on orders of William the Conqueror in 1069 to
control unruly northerners.
